It all begins with a question: Why?
My path into UX didn’t start in a design studio; it began with an anthropology degree and a deep curiosity about how people think, behave, and interact with their world. That human-centered foundation still guides my work today as a UX practitioner leading complex digital projects from ideation to release.
Most recently, I led a high performing UX team at Gale, the library research wing of Cengage Group, supporting research, design and accessibility across a portfolio of K–12 and library-focused solutions used by millions. I thrive in environments where UX is deeply embedded in the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery and where UX is seen as a partner in problem-solving, not just visual designers.
I value process and clarity. Not because I’m rigid, but because I’ve seen how often friction within projects stems from misalignment, unclear ownership, or missed communication. Effective UX doesn’t begin and end in Figma; it’s the result of collaboration, trust, and shared understanding. I excel at fostering these attributes among product, technology and UX stakeholders.

During my time at Cengage, I led initiatives to advance accessibility at scale. I built governance processes, established an executive-led accessibility council, and worked hands-on with cross-functional teams to put the needs of users with disabilities front and center. A highlight was being invited to give a talk on accessibility practices to staff from the 30+ libraries of ITESM, one of Mexico’s most prestigious university systems.
I’m also proud of my ongoing volunteer work with Forgotten Harvest, a grocery rescue organization where I’ve supported mobile food pantries, trained volunteers, and consulted on several internal technology initiatives to improve client intake and home delivery procedures.
If you're looking for a seasoned UX leader who knows how to connect research and design with business needs, bring structure to ambiguity, and foster strong team culture…I’d love to talk.
